As summer begins its slow transition toward autumn, the table reaches its fullest expression.

Tomatoes warmed by the sun. Sweet corn at its peak. Orchard fruit arriving in abundance. Herbs gathered fresh. It is a brief moment in the season, and one worth gathering around.

For our August edition of Forest Feasts, we're welcoming chef Matthew Thompson for an intimate four-course dinner inspired by the richness of late summer in the Haliburton Highlands. Thoughtfully sourced ingredients, bold seasonal flavours, and a menu that celebrates what this time of year has to offer.
